Research Proposals for PhD Graduate Program Applications
Research proposals are the central feature upon which universities determine graduate admissions into doctoral programs. They demonstrate whether the student has an interesting research question that fits with the interests of the faculty. Most importantly, the research proposal conveys whether the applicant is ready for the academic rigor that comes with graduate studies and research.

Our focus is on producing a research proposal that demonstrates the applicant’s knowledge of their respective discipline, the ability to identify a gap in the existing literature, the intellectual significance of their project, and its compatibility with faculty members in the department. It is crucial that the research project proposal be able to demonstrate both the novelty of the research and its relevance to the program in which the applicant seeks admission.
We work with the applicant for 6 weeks to identify suitable programs and prepare a Research Proposal. Applicants will be expected to engage in reading that will enhance their knowledge about the topic of research. We will help the applicant tailor their statement to meet the requirements of up to 5 different university programs.
